It’s amazing how three kids can grow up in the same house, with the same parents, and be completely different. I know there is psychology in birth order, but the differences are always entertaining. Continue reading

So this post is about our renovation project on the exterior of our home. It’s lengthy, probably long winded, annoyingly upbeat, sprinkled with pithy remarks and a quirky sense of humor, filled with strange stories, and oodles of pictures. When … Continue reading

“And you may find yourself living in a shotgun shack…living in another part of the world…with a beautiful wife…living in a beautiful house…how do I work this thing…what is this large automobile…where does that highway go to…same as it ever was” truer words were never spoken. Or in this case sung. Relating my life to one of my all time favorite songs by the Talking Heads in the blog today. And fighting with Wordpress on getting my blog URL back!!! Practicing my breathing today folks and doing some therapeutic writing. Continue reading

We said we’d be on the road for 3 maybe 5 years, if the kids would allow it. They weren’t having it. So we found ourselves a little red house on a quarter acre in the city and we are trying to get used to stationary life again. Continue reading
Trips to the grocery store with the our clan always seem to elicit an array of interesting faces from patrons: sad faces, annoyed faces, concerned faces, contorted faces due to rubber necking, happy to see us faces (although those are far and few between), and scared faces. We probably see the latter most often. Hey, it’s what we’re here for. Most likely it makes them feel great about their lives, their not as “crazy” as they previously thought. Or the more unlikely “Gosh, I should have more kids so I can look the way that Mom looks…so disheveled…but those kids look super happy”. Continue reading

I have done a lot of “soul searching” and have come to the conclusion, almost every stupid decision made by me, can be traced back to Kerosene. So glad it’s Kerosene rather than something serious, like “poor judgement”. Whew. I solved that case pretty quick! Continue reading
